Camp/tryouts are no ordinary tryouts. Part advanced skills camp, part showcase
and 100% tryouts, our one day tryout/camp is your chance to get an up close and

Pirates defeat Puerto Rico Baseball Academy 3-0 in their first game at the WWBA
Championships in Jupiter, FL. GJ Strauss got the win on the mound working three
scoreless innings for the Pirates.

Chad Green and AJ Walkenhorst shut out the South Florida PG Kelly Green Team for
a 3-0 win. The Pirates improve their record to 2-0 in pool play in Jupiter.

The Pirates defeat the Rays Scout Team 8-5 in comes from behind fashion. Matt
Linderer started the game for the Pirates and Ryan Daniels picks up the win.
Jake DePew had 2 hits and 2 RBI's, Jordan Hankins contributed 2 hits and 2 RBI's.
The Pirates are 3-0 in pool play.

The Pirates fall 3-1 to the Dirtbags from North Carolina to keep from advancing
to the championship round. The Pirates out hit the Dirtbags 7-3 but were unable
to capitalize on several scoring opportunities. All in all it was a terrific
showing by the Pirates!!!
Big First Inning propels FTB Brewers to victory

The FTB Brewers scored four runs without a base hit and held on for a 4-3 victory over the STL Pirates.
Melvin Devilla pitched two strong innings for FTB striking out five batters in 2 shutout innings.
Adam Kunkel (2011, Red Bud, IL) continued to impress going 2-3 with a double and two stolen bases.
2011 Jake Ivory looked very good on the hill for the Pirates throwing three shutout innings without allowing a hit.
He kept the ball down in the zone and his fastball sat in the 82-85 mph range.
St. Louis Pirates down World of Baseball 4-0

St. Louis Pirates came up with a 4 run rally to knock off World of Baseball 4-0.
Mitch Montaldo came in the bottom of the 7th to close the door with an 81 mph fast ball.
Montaldo showed good movement and effective CB. Montaldo also paced the pirates at the
plate going 2-3. Adam Kunkel also stood out as the Pirates leadoff man, one college coach
nicknamed him "the gamer". He runs well and shows power. World of Baseball hitters Bryan Mathews,
PJ Axtel, and Tyler Allen all showed well at the plate with good bat speed and good approach.
